So, I miss my parents a lot, so I thought why don’t I write about things I admire about our parents, or basically all the 90’s parents. Before I start, I thought I would add a touch of my inner most sentiment through this poem.
Papa and Mama,
Always have been my role model,
Reason behind my success and smile,
Even if I may not say this often, but
No one can replace the both of you,
To the deepest core of my heart,
Sincerely, I Love You.
Two hours away from home sweet home and without all the rules and regulations which I have a love-hate relationship with, makes me appreciate my parents even more. At the end of the day, I must say, I look up to them. What a great job they have done in raising me, along with my two older siblings.
Alright, so I really admire my parents, specifically all 90’s parents. I may be exaggerating, but parents are real superheroes! Wonder why? Think about it. They actually brought us to the world and allowed us to experience two different generations. What I mean is we got to experience from playing masak-masak in mud and swimming in the pond to today's Facebook games and uploading photos on Instagram within the decade, before turning 20. We truly are privileged. *touches my heart*. Here are some reasons why parents are awesome:
You: Where do babies come from?
Parents: From Pasar Malam
You: Then where did I come from?
Then when you are a little older, perhaps you might ask
You : Why do humans have 2 hands, 2 feet,1 mouth?
Parents: so that you will shut up and go clean your room.
2. They have skills that are undeniably good.
3. Living SD cards of our childhood memories.
4. They love us unconditionally
These are just a few of the best moments I have shared with my mom and dad. I’m sure each of us have wonderful stories to share with our friends, and therefore the task I’m giving you here is to call your parents today and tell them that you love them. Why wait until Mother’s day or Father’s day, or their birthday to tell them how much you love them?
