As you read this, we are down to about a week plus of break before we get started with the short semester. Seems like the break has just vanished in between getting the good amount of sleep and enjoying the pleasure of mouth-watering home-cooked food. The best way to kill the semester break is that we either spend a good time lazing at home with our loved ones, or we head out for a much needed get-away. We get too used to the lazing around, even the thought of going back to 8am classes kills us.
Along with this March note, I’m taking this opportunity to give a shout-out to everyone who is staying back on campus, to event volunteers, to event sub-committees, to event organizers, for all the time they have vested, spending their time on campus, for doing what most of us won’t be willing to sacrifices. Regardless of whether you’re on the campus for Orientation for the March intake, for the Malaysian Debate Open, Athma or other events, the Campus Buzz team gives you our heartiest thanks for all the sacrifices and effort, you’ve put into the event by sacrificing your holidays.
We also have friends who are away for internships. The working life is an eye opener to young adults, like us. Most of them would have gone into their 3rd week on internship, and by now they’d have witnessed the little bit of the bittersweet experiences of the working life.
On a side note, the weather is blazing hot these days, and we read news almost daily on the El Nino phenomena. Be sure to stay indoors as much as possible and stay hydrated! We’ve got one short semester to go before we can call it an end to one academic year!
We at Campus Buzz are motivated to bring you the news from the happenings on campus, even during breaks, (we work during breaks too!) to keep everyone updated and informed. MMU-ians, remember to stay tuned to Campus Buzz and to our Facebook page for latest updates! Till then, enjoy the very last bits of the holidays!
