It’s midterm season again and the urge to procrastinate has never been stronger. You’re constantly torn between not taking midterms too seriously because “it’s a one-hour paper only whaaat” and doing your best to score that full 20% of your coursework. Here are the phases of studying for midterms, as told by our favorite Hollywood franchise- Star Wars!
1. When your lecturer announces there’s a midterm coming up
Okay so you don’t actually hate your lecturer. You just hate studying.
I have a midterm in 3 days and I’m sitting here writing about procrastination for midterms. Then I’ll go home in a bit and take a nap for the next 2 days until the night before my actual midterm. Sounds about right.
You realize that scoring a midterm will be much easier than scoring for finals. So you pull yourself together and start studying!
7. You vow to never study last minute again
For the next paper, I’ll study a week in advance and take notes during lectures and get enough sleep and…
